RR Express Game

Friday night we met our friends Matt and Renee and their sons Aidan and Devin at the RR Express game. Becca had fun with the boys playing at the playground there and watching the game and the post game fireworks. Thanks Matt and Renee for a fun Friday at the ball game! We hope to see you soon for some fall harvest pumpkin picking at the farms!

First Week of School

Well, Rebecca made it through her first week of school. She had a great week and received a respectable and responsible on her behavior chart. Mom had a busy week too, filling out papers, bus permissions, and signing Becca up for Daisies. Our first troop round up is Sept 14th. Mom is going to be the Daisy troop leader as well. This is a new challenge for me as I have never been a girl scout myself. I am looking forward to a fun filled year of scouting :) with the Kinder and 1st graders.

New Heely's

Becca was so excited this weekend, she got her second pair of Heely's. After much convincing, Mom decided to buy another pair. Last years pair was barely worn, and now they are outgrown and up for sale up on Craigs List. I am really amazed how well she can heel in them although she had been practicing all weekend long.

First Day of School

Today was Becca's first day of Kindergarten at Parkside Elementary. She got up at 5:30am, ate breakfast and was dressed by 6:15am. She was so ready to ride the bus to her new school. She met Carter, who was at her bus stop and is in her class. She is such a grown up girl, I am so proud of her, no tears even though Mom almost got teary eyed. Her last words were, "Mom, don't worry I'll be fine".

Fun In The Sun

Today was a sunny and hot August day so the plans were to meet Becca's old schoolmate and her parents at Brushy Creek Park for some sprinkler fun. Becca and Catherine attended Preschool together these past 2 years and now since they are big girls, are going into different elementary schools this year. This was the "last" time they would get to see each other before school started. We had a picnic lunch and Mom enjoyed visiting with Donna while the girls played in the water.
